Christie’s Paris: A Zitan, cloisonné enamel and lapis lazuli pagoda, 18th century and later

The four-sided pagoda rests on a quadrangular base, the walls accommodate openwork rectangular plaques in celadon jade with geometric decoration. A floor decorated with four openwork celadon jade plates with lotus flower motifs alternated with containers surmounts the base. The facade of the pagoda is embellished with jade plaques and lapis lazuli elements incised with lingzhi. The roof bordered by a frieze of ruyi heads accommodates four lotus flower reserves in cloisonné enamels.

Sold on behalf of a German private collector at Christie’s Paris, 16 December 2022 (lot 84) for €126,000 (Estimate €6000-8,000).
