In June 2022, I visited Lisbon and was asked to look at a small private collection of Chinese ceramics and works of art.
After valuing the collection, I advised the client that they should sell the pieces locally at Veritas auction room. The sale was held on 30 November and the collection comprised of 100 lots with a low estimate of just over €80,000. It sold for a total of just under €200,000 and I have illustrated a number of highlights below.
